It is the mission of the Humanitarian Service Project to alleviate the pain and suffering that poverty brings to needy seniors and children living in DuPage and Kane Counties, Illinois, without distinction of gender, race, creed, caste, or color.
In September HSP distributed over 6 tons of nutritious groceries to 132 needy senior citizens!
68 needy children celebrated their birthdays with 1,564 lbs of new toys!
Thanks to everyone who helped make all of this possible!
Senior Delivery Day (every month)
Volunteer to help us deliver groceries and gifts to 132 seniors one Saturday each month. Next Delivery Day is: October 17th, 2015. To view all the distribution day dates for 2015,click here.
Urgent: On these delivery days each senior receives two bags of paper products. We are in dire need of facial tissue at the moment. Please consider holding a paper drive or making a donation, if you are looking for a way to serve needy seniors
School Supply Collection
Empowering children living in poverty with the tools needed to thrive in the classroom. Donate new school supplies to HSP.
As any one who volunteered during Christmas 2014 can tell you, the one thing that HSP really needs is more space.
Launch a Capital Campaign to expand our warehouse. We want to add at least 5,000 square feet to our facility in order to accommodate all of our programs more efficiently.
Develop drawings & plans; Determine funds needed; Announce scope of Campaign; Kick Off Event for Campaign; Complete before Christmas 2015.
